A brand-new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise debuted tonight at The Game Awards. It features an abundance of new gameplay footage as well as a look at some additional, never-before-seen (at least in Rise) monsters to Rise's roster. Monster Hunter Rise launches on Nintendo Switch on March 26th, 2021, but that's not all! A demo will be available to try out Rise before its release for a limited time in January 2021.

Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection (NSW) Announcement Trailer
Ghosts 'n Goblins returns after a decade or so in hiatus. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last new entry in the series as Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins on the PSP.) Ghost 'n Goblins Resurrection doesn't seem like the type of game some should play in handheld mode for fear of the resulting rage it might cause. These games have always been mighty difficult! The arcade platforming goodness of Ghost 'n Goblins Resurrection launches on the Nintendo Switch on February 25th, 2021.
Perfect Dark (XBS) "The Initiative Developer Interview"
My favorite FPS returns to the gaming spotlight with The Initiative taking on the herculean task of reviving the Perfect Dark series! The passion on display by the creative directors and staff at The Initiative give me a lot of hope for this game turning out wonderfully. Here's hoping it does, but in the meantime, check out this developer interview video provided by Xbox on its YouTube channel.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (NSW) "The One-Winged Angel!" Trailer
The next character in the second batch of DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has officially been announced during The Game Awards. It's none other than the One-Winged Angel himself, Final Fantasy VII's Sephiroth! Hopefully we'll get some new remixes this time around instead of just a couple of Final Fantasy VII songs taken directly from the game like Cloud had when he arrived in Smash. Regardless, we won't have to wait long to find out, as Sephiroth will be available later this month! What do you think about the newest addition to the Smash Bros. roster?

Persona 5 Strikers (PS4, NSW, PC) Announcement Trailer
February is going to be quite the busy month next year! Following the story trailer of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, we have the official western localization announcement trailer for Persona 5 Strikers from Atlus West. Though to be fair, this isn't too surprising after the announcement was prematurely leaked last week. Still, it's great to have the game *finally* heading to this side of the world. Persona 5 Strikers launches on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on February 23, 2021.
